About YHA Whanganui, Braemar House for Groups:

YHA Whanganui, Braemar House hostel looks forward to welcoming your group with the hospitality that Whanganui is famous for. Stay in purpose built backpacker accommodation at the historic Braemar House, built in 1880, adjacent to the banks of the Whanganui River.

You will be close to Victoria Avenue, one of New Zealand’s most attractive high streets and only a short walk to the Whanganui city centre. We are an ideal choice for small groups wanting affordable, comfortable, and peaceful accommodation.

YHA Whanganui can accommodate 26 persons across 7 rooms. We can mix and match these rooms to suit your group. Multishare rooms share bathroom facilities. Linen is provided (not towels), and all are centrally heated. Should additional accommodation be required for coaches and leaders, we do have a B&B area offering doubles and singles. Prices by negotiation; these will be above those of the hostel.
