YHA Taupo

Description

YHA Taupo is centrally located near the Taupo town centre and the lakefront. Lake Taupo is New Zealand’s largest lake, situated in the adventurous Central North Island region, halfway between Auckland and Wellington. Rafting, skydiving and the world famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing are just a few reasons to stay at YHA Taupo.

The hostel offers a range of comfortable, refurbished accommodation including multi-share, female only, double and twin rooms, most with ensuites. YHA Taupo also accommodates families and groups.

Relax on the spacious balcony with mountain and lake views. Get to know other backpackers while chilling out in the sunny garden or while cooking up a feed at the BBQ or in the fully-equipped kitchen with gas hob stoves. Hire a mountain bike from Huka Cycles next door and explore Taupo’s endless biking trails including the Great Lake Trail, part of the National New Zealand Cycleway.

Or for those days when you just want to take it easy, YHA Taupo has a DVD library in its cosy lounge and WiFi, Netflix and Xbox.

This top-rated, secure hostel offers warm, comfortable and friendly accommodation 200m from the supermarket and with plenty of off-street parking.
