Nelson - Sunshine capital of New Zealand

Nelson is known for its great weather, proximity to all kinds of outdoor activities, laid-back vibes, and craft beer scene. You'd be silly not to visit!

The centre of town is a delightful place to go for a stroll, and the well-known Farmers Market is a Saturday morning must-do, located just behind YHA Nelson. The region is full of great orchards and vineyards so we recommend sampling some of the local produce.

Wander up to the Centre of New Zealand monument, or grab your bike to make the most of the excellent mountain biking trails in the area.
