Each house has its own homely lounge, well equipped kitchen and unlimited hot showers. All bedrooms have heaters and all beds have hotel quality sheets and warm comfortable duvets.

YHA Motueka the Laughing Kiwi, located on the western shore of the Tasman Bay is on New Zealand’s South Island and is a short drive to the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Park. The hostel is also only a two minute walk to the supermarket, shops and cafes.

A large carpark is provided for off street parking at the rear of the property.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you book walking and kayaking trips into the Abel Tasman. Most companies provide a free pick up service from outside our reception.

Stop by this welcoming hostel and discover the long summer days and mild winters that attract so many people to this corner of New Zealand.

"The lounge, kitchen and bbq area is excellent to chat with other travellers and was always clean and tidy. The rooms themselves are of good standard and the shared bathroom was spotless with good water pressure. Amazing Hostel in great location." - Trip Advisor October 2012
