How to get here

YHA New Plymouth is located next to the Te Henui Walkway for scenic bush views, native birdsong and the Te Henui River.

The hostel is a 15 minute walk to the town centre and attractions including the award winning Coastal Walkway, Taranaki's favourite museum Puke Ariki, art galleries, shopping, cafes and bars. It is just under an hour's drive to Mount Taranaki.

We’re located down a driveway at the end of Timandra St, which is opposite the racecourse. Street parking is available.
Bus: At the Travel Centre on Ariki St, catch the #7 bus to Coronation Ave. Get off when you see Bell St and you’ll be dropped off just after Timandra St. Walk 400m down Timandra St to the hostel.
Airport: We are 12km from the airport. Shuttles run door-to-door both ways.
