Terms and Conditions
To secure space for your group we require a 50% deposit upon confirmation of your booking. The deposit is refundable up to 2 months prior to the group's arrival. Final payment is due, in full, 1 month prior to the group’s arrival at the hostel.
We ask final numbers are reconfirmed with the hostel at least 1 week prior to arrival. We'll send you a rooming list to be completed and returned prior to your arrival. This will speed up the check in process as well.
All reservation requests are tentative until we have received your 50% deposit. If the deposit is not received by the due date, YHA New Zealand reserves the right to cancel your booking.
Cancellations & amendments:
- Cancellations made within 1 week of arrival will result in your group being charged for the full stay.
- Group "no show" will also be charged in full back to the group.
- Changes of up to a 10% decrease in numbers of the original size can be made without penatly, provided YHA is notified a minimum of 1 week prior to arrival. Any request to increase the group size will be accommodated subject to availability and the group will be charged accordingly.
- In case of any discrepancies at the time of check in:
- Though not guaranteed, YHA will make every reasonable effort to accommodate new booking requirements not reflected in the group booking confirmation
- YHA is not responsible for any changes or discrepancies in booking details not reflected in the booking confirmation
