Submit a cancellation or refund request

Our Customer Services team is working through a high volume of cancellations and refunds due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. There will unfortunately be significant delays in processing refunds during this time, we thank you for your patience.

If you're cancelling a booking for today or tomorrow, we'd appreciate you getting in touch with the hostel directly.

We can only assist with cancellations for accommodation booked through the YHA website ( If you booked another product or used another method, please contact Customer Services.

The YHA Customer Services team works Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm. For cancellations within 24 hours please contact the hostel directly. During peak periods it can take up to a week for us to confirm the processing of your refund has taken place. Thank you for your patience!
