YHA Friends of Hawke's Bay was formed in September 2009. It is led by Barry Pulford who hosts events throughout the year, including an annual Christmas BBQ in December.
Local members are invited to a Special General Meeting to be held on Thursday 6 June 2019, 2:30pm at Napier RSA, Boardroom,
1st Floor, 34 Vautier Street, Napier. This meeting has been called for the purpose of dissolving the Friends of Hawke's Bay Member Group. This is following the recent news of YHA Napier hostel no longer operating as a YHA New Zealand hostel due to the previous owners having sold it. At the meeting resolutions will be proposed as follows:
"That the Friends of YHA Hawke's Bay Member Group of YHA New Zealand be dissolved"
and
"That the funds currently administered by the Friends of YHA Hawke's Bay Member Group be transferred to YHA New Zealand."
All members are encouraged to attend. Please note, membership cards or membership numbers are required.
