YHA Dunedin On Top Backpackers is located on Filleul Street which runs parallel with the main street north of the Octagon, George Street. Driving north through the Octagon take the first left onto Moray Place. YHA Dunedin is located on the first corner after that, directly opposite the Town Hall. Parking is available.
Dunedin International Airport is located 25 minutes drive out of town and operates domestic flights throughout New Zealand daily as well as flights to Australia during the summer months. Car rentals are available at the airport. There is no public transport from the airport, however regular shuttle services to and from town are available.
All shuttle services stop at our front door. They will pick up as well upon request.
Most bus services drop off at the train station which is 5 minutes on foot from YHA Dunedin. Walk up Lower Stuart Street towards the Octagon. From the Octagon walk down George Street and take the first left onto Moray Place. YHA Dunedin is directly up the street on the first corner, Filleul Street.
