The YHA New Plymouth hostel is within easy driving distance of Mt Taranaki / Mt Egmont or the hostel staff can provide a shuttle bus to Egmont National Park. 

YHA New Plymouth Egmont Eco Lodge has a large variety of backpacker accommodation (single, double, twin, shared and family) available as well as tent sites. In the evening sip a cappuccino, watch theatre and relax with a slice of the complimentary delicious Egmont Cake served nightly. 15 mins walk from bus depot. Walk up to Devon St onto Dawson St onto Frankley Rd then turn right into Clawton Street.
