YHA Auckland City is the ideal backpacker hostel to start or finish your New Zealand adventure.

The hostel is also a short walk from the Airbus Express stop making it easy to find when you first arrive, or a great place to spend your last few days in NZ.

  • The Britomart Centre – is the main public transport hub
  • Karangahape Road – also known as "K' Road", and is famous for its bars, clubs and shops
  • Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World – aquarium and Antarctic centre
  • New Zealand National Maritime Museum – features New Zealand maritime history
  • Queen Street - main street of the city, from Karangahape Road down to the harbour.
  • Sky Tower – the tallest free standing structure in the southern hemisphere which offers fantastic panoramic views of Auckland.
  • The Viaduct – restaurants, bars and home to the Americas’ cup yacht

The hostel is 800m from the station. Head down Victoria Street and turn right into Queen Street, City Road is on the left from station

By Plane:

23km to Auckland International Airport. Door to door transfers with Airbus and Super Shuttle

By Train:

1km to hostel. Walk from station up Queen Street to Hostel (25mins) or catch a bus up Queen Street from Britomart ($0.50)
