What personally identifiable information does YHA NZ collect from me?

YHA New Zealand does not collect private or personal information from this web site, except where you willingly provide it.

If you contact YHA New Zealand we may keep a record of that correspondence. 

YHA New Zealand occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes.

How does YHA New Zealand protect my personal information?

As with all information, YHA New Zealand will never rent or sell your personal information.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, unless it is processed through a Secure Credit Card System. All transactions and membership data collection is carried out over a secure certified site.

Membership information is stored in our secure and firewall protected information technology environment.

Booking information is stored on our secure property management system and is only accessed for the purposes of reserving and delivering your room or other travel products.

While we strive to protect your personal information, YHA New Zealand cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via email or customer response form. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

Payment Information

YHA New Zealand uses a direct payment solution (DPS) which provides a secure payment gateway to manage all credit card payments via our website. YHA New Zealand also restricts access to credit card details and removes this information from our systems once it is no longer required for your booking.
