About Punakaiki

How to get there...
Details
Car
Follow SH6, 3km north of Punakaiki, turn left at sign saying “Motel, Homestay, Backpackers”. We are 200m down Hartmount Place on the left.
Bus/Shuttle
Intercity only drop-off at Punakaiki 3km away, book in advance your free pick-up when making a reservation and please wait outside the Visitor Centre for your pick-up. Atomic Shuttle drops you off at the top of our driveway, please ask the driver.
Plane
Train

Greymouth railway station is 42km away. Take shuttle/bus (book in advance Atomic Shuttle), ask the driver to drop you off on top of our driveway at the youth hostel sign (which is just north of the Truman
Track) it's then a 2min walk down to us.

The Intercity coach will drop you in Punakiaki 3km away so when making a reservation with us let us know you will be arriving on Intercity and we will pick you up outside the visitor information centre at 3pm. The journey will take 45mins.
